Q: How much "baked food" do I feed my dog or puppy?

FEEDING GUIDELINES:    BAKED

FEEDING RAW

1.  Guidelines are for average dogs, not stressed,
working or pregnant dogs.
2.  Feed 1 portion Daily: 1/2 a.m. + 1/2 p.m.
3.  LARGE, GIANT, TOY BREEDS & 'BLOAT' problems feed 3 - 4 times per day.
4.  UNDERWEIGHT DOGS:  Increase daily portions to bowel tolerance: if soft stool occurs, cut back again.  It takes 2 months to gain optimal weight.  Don't rush it.
4.  PREGNANT & LACTATING BITCHES use our "Healthy Start' Puppy Health Food.
5.  PREGNANT BITCHES:   Use  "Healthy Start" Puppy Health Food beginning of 4th week.
6.  WEANING PUPPIES:  Wean babies onto "Healthy Start" Puppy Mix when they are 3 1/2 - 4 weeks old.
Bake the food as per instructions & puree a small amount with warm water or goat milk.  Feed 4 small meals per day.
Decrease the extra water or goat milk over the next 2 weeks as weaning progresses.
Before introducing your dog to a raw diet, we recommend you bake the food for 2 months to strengthen your dog's immune system and so you become familiar with daily portions.
Raw meat has unpredictable amounts of bacteria and some dogs have a hard time with them.  If your dog gets a soft stool or diarrhea when you feed raw meat, please go back to the baked diet.  Some dogs never adjust to a raw diet.
1.  When starting on a raw diet, you will feed approx. 10% LESS food than the baked guidelines suggest.
RAW DIET OPTION 1:  Bake all the ingredient together except the meat.  Feed the raw meat with the 'cake' or 'muffins' at meal times.  We recommend this diet option for dogs starting on raw.
RAW DIET OPTION 2:    Puree apples (& veggies if you are not using ECF Garden Vegetables.
Combine all ingredients & let soak for 45 minutes (or overnight in the fridge.
Divide into portions, feed one meal and freeze the remainder.

FEEDING RAW
For Raw diets, use slightly less food per serving than above guidelines (approx. 10% less).
Start with the baked food for 6-8 weeks.
When you know your daily portions for your individual dog, introduce raw following these steps:

1.   Blend all the ingredients except for the meat & bake. Cool & divide into daily portions.
Divide your raw meat up into the same equal portions. Feed baked ‘cake’ with raw meat.
2.   When your dog is eating raw meat with no digestive upsets, introduce the entire diet
raw. Mix all ingredients together and divide into daily portions. Feed one meal and freeze
  extra.
3.  Please watch your dog for digestive upset, raw meat is unpredictable for bacteria that
can affect your dog. Use common sense.
